Who We Are:

 

 

Show City Events is a newly established events company, part of the Manchester Metropolitan University Events Management course. As part of our university project we have been given the challenge to plan and organise a successful event in order to raise money and awareness for our chosen charity, the Booth Centre. As we are on a zero budget with which to organise the event, our success relies soley on donations and various fundrasing activities, such as the Booth Centre's 2015 Sleepout, in which Show City took part in and raised over £700.

 

 

 

What We Aim To Do:

 

Our aim is to bring the people of Manchester together, whilst highlighting some of the current issues within our city. We hope to raise as much money as possible on the night whilst delivering a successful and enjoyable event for all involved. Our aim is to encourage businesses in the local area to come together to network and make a difference in our community by helping the homeless people off our streets. We also wish to tackle the stigma that is common when discussing homelessness. We beleive that on our own we do not tend to feel empowered, but if the community of Manchester joins together, then we can truly make a difference and change lives for the better.
